Hi, my name is Mary Duros (the distortion in this picture is actually quite accurate, we know who's the boss, I'm the one in the background) and this is my website. If you are here it is because you know me, you know someone who knows me, you typed my name into the browser line, or belong to one of the newsgroups I belong to. Otherwise, I am nobody, and you couldn't find me by typing my name into a hundred search engines because I'm not registered.

This webpage began because I wanted to learn more about web work and html for my career. Information technology. But then my webpage became something more. I bought my car, a Toyota Prius and wanted to spread my experience somehow to all of the people that constantly ask me about it. It's a great car. So my Prius page has been up for awhile, but now it is time for me to expand my horizon.

I am now including my friends, family, vast managerie of companion animals, interests and hobbies here. I don't really know what to say, or even how to explain why anyone would care to come to my webpage. Afterall, I'm not a writer like John, my guy. I'm not a webmaster and a communications guru like my sister. So, why would you want to come here? What do I have to offer? I'm not sure. Maybe just to see that you're not alone and visit the work-in-progress I call my life. I once was an artist. I made jewelry, I was very good at photography, mediocre behind the camera but exceptional in the darkroom, and I wrote. I have gotten my life back after being in a bad marriage for some years, and since then I have been trying to rediscover my talents, interests, prospects, and maybe this is part of it. I'm not sure. So, maybe we'll discover this together. In any event, welcome. I hope if nothing else it's entertaining for you.
